Frequently asked questions

Booking

We accept all major credit or debit cards. Rooms may be paid in cash, but you must have a credit or debit card to authorize for incidental charges.

All reservations must be guaranteed either by valid credit card or by prepayment of a deposit.

All cards will be preauthorized upon check-in, and all incurred charges will be posted upon check-out. Reservations for special events/non refundable rates will be charged 30 days prior to arrival.

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy on standard reservations. If you cancel after that period we charge the first night’s room and tax.

Please note, there will be stricter cancellation rules for special rates and special events. For all reservations made for Double Decker, Graduation and all special events, there will be a 30 days prior to arrival cancellation policy. For all home football weekend reservations, advance prepayment is required, and all reservations are non-refundable. Please call the hotel with any cancellation-related questions.

We recommend booking through our website at oliveroxford.com. If you need assistance with changing or canceling a reservation, please call us directly at 662-371-1400.

Guests must be 21 years of age. A person of the minimum age requirement must be present at check-in and become a registered guest in the room.

$100 will be authorized on your credit card upon check-in for incidental charges such as valet, room service, mini bar, etc. The remaining balance of the authorization will be released upon checkout, and is typically reflected by your financial institution in 2-3 business days.

Rooms

Check in is 3:00pm. Check out is 11:00am.

Early check-ins are not guaranteed, but we will gladly accommodate you if possible.

Late check-out is available based on availability. Half day charge for up to 3-5 hours, full night charge after 5 hours.

Yes. We have an accessible Standard King room with a roll-in shower, an accessible Signature King Suite with a roll in shower, and a hearing-assisted Premier King room.

Yes. We have several connecting rooms including a variety of room types.

Yes. The two Magnolia Suites have private balconies, and there are four rooms that share a balcony; one Standard King, one Premier King, and two Signature King Suites. These rooms can be reserved together for family or group events depending on availability.

Yes. All of our Double Queen rooms have 2 queen beds. Our Signature King Suites have a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room.

Yes. We offer pre-bagged ice at the water station on each floor and we are happy to deliver ice upon request.

Yes, rollaway beds and cribs are available for $30/night. There is limited availability, so we encourage you to contact our front desk team prior to your arrival.

Yes. Most of our Premier Rooms and Signature King Suites are equipped with a clawfoot tub or a French Soaking tub.

Pets

Yes, we offer a limited number of dog-friendly rooms for our guests. Up to 2 dogs per room with a fee of $75+ per animal, per stay, non-refundable. Non-service dogs are not allowed in any food and beverage outlet, with the exception of our restaurant patio. Please contact the hotel for any questions.

Yes. We recommend Avent Park, Lamar Park, and Oxford Dog Park.

Yes. We recommend Funky’s Pizza, Volta Taverna, Lost Pizza Co., El Charro, McAllister’s Deli, and Heartbreak Coffee.

General

We do not have a business center, but please see the front desk and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available to all guests.

Yes. The Front Desk will hold any packages until a guest arrives, or deliver packages to the guest’s room.

24/7

Yes, we offer daily stayover service with linen changes every 3 days for our extended stay guests.

No, with the exception of special event and home football weekends where we require a two-night minimum stay on weekends.

In rooms, we offer our private line of toiletries(bath/body washes, lotion, hair products) luxurious bathrobes, slippers, hair dryers, steamers, coffee pots/coffee, television, Wi-Fi, beautiful Oliver umbrellas (which can be purchased), and a stocked mini-bar of items that can be purchased. Each floor has a water station with still water, sparkling water and ice. There is also a variety of beautiful Oliver branded items for sale in the lobby area, (candles, t-shirts, caps, flask, etc). In addition to all of these wonderful amenities, we have the Kingswood Restaurant and Night Bird Bar.

Yes. Same day service if picked up by 8:00am.

We are a non-smoking and non-vaping facility.

Yes! Invited by Oliver is our loyalty program and you can join through https://www.oliverhospitality.com/loyalty. You may also call our front desk with any questions.

Parking and Location

We have limited self parking downstairs in our garage for $25/night/vehicle. The garage is under 24 hour video surveillance.

Yes. We offer 4 electric car charging stations in our garage.

Yes. We are located on the corner of S. Lamar and University Ave, just a few blocks south of The Square. There are a variety of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Media

Any photos taken with professional equipment in any public space on property requires prior approval and scheduling with our Sales Manager. Photography rates start at $150 per hour Monday – Thursday and $ 250 per hour Friday – Sunday. Filming rates start at $1000 per hour. Filming and photography rates are not prorated.

Sustainability

It is our policy to launder guest room linens every three days for those guests staying multiple nights. If you would like your linens changed more frequently, please let our front desk staff know. Towels on the floor or bathtub will be replaced. Towels that are hung will be left for your use. Reusable water bottles are provided in all rooms. You can refill your bottles at the beverage stations located by the elevators on each floor.

Sales

Yes. The Grand Ballroom, Private Dining Room, Kingswood, Patio, Nightbird, and Rooftop available to rent. You can learn more about these spaces on our Gather page.

Courtesy Group Block:
A custom booking link is provided for guests to book their rooms directly at 20% off of our best available rates at the time of booking with no attrition requirement. This style of block is based on hotel availability, rooms are not guaranteed. The rates are not static and will fluctuate based on time of booking and hotel availability. Courtesy block rooms are available to book 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date for your group

Contracted Group Block:
For groups booking 10 or more rooms, contracted rooms are guaranteed at a fixed rate with an 90% attrition requirement. A custom booking link is provided or you are welcome to provide us with a guest rooming list. Contracted block rooms are available to book up to 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date for the group.
